I'm probably going to go basic grey, since it's pretty flexible, but I'll definitely add some other spots of color and probably some weathering. I'm toying around with how to do a command center display at the moment. That should add some color. :)The Composerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14009448596738385017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7807840795432008860.post-13312151662481900112022-06-15T19:01:44.686-05:002022-06-15T19:01:44.686-05:00I had to laugh about the round about way of gettin...I had to laugh about the round about way of getting your rooms (order half height walls and scratch build the other half). It is very much a personal touch and allows you to get the right final touch you want. I'm also a big fan of the long hallway shot.
There was a recent blogger who painted up some heman terrain...sho3box maybe? The absurd hues definitely added something special. Maybe go for standard grey with some absurd pastels?
davebhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07531919635590898334noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7807840795432008860.post-35416273700773779652022-06-13T23:40:11.626-05:002022-06-13T23:40:11.626-05:00Thank you Suber! :) I'm trying to get them all...Thank you Suber! :) I'm trying to get them all tricked out before I start painting, but I may just paint it in batches to see how it works. I expect I'll want to get a few more tricked out first. I have maybe a third of the corridor sections walled now and I'm about to do the first room section. Hopefully this will move along fairly quickly. The Composerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14009448596738385017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7807840795432008860.post-48298097747324238152022-06-13T16:17:56.449-05:002022-06-13T16:17:56.449-05:00Oh, wow, the set itself is pretty cool, but your a...Oh, wow, the set itself is pretty cool, but your addings improved it enormously! That last corridor pic is truly inspiring! Can't wait to see it painted!Suberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02005091019027411799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7807840795432008860.post-11658118831851404072022-06-13T02:06:01.015-05:002022-06-13T02:06:01.015-05:00The fact that it's all interiors helps, maybe....The fact that it's all interiors helps, maybe. The tabs are mostly kept outside. That said, yeah, I wanted to break it up some. Make it less regular. Thank you for your kind words! I'm still debating how to paint it. I expect I'll probably start grey and work from there. The Composerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14009448596738385017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7807840795432008860.post-48002486787106891202022-06-13T01:44:37.884-05:002022-06-13T01:44:37.884-05:00Fantastic looking scenery and I totally agree that...Fantastic looking scenery and I totally agree that they look better with the full height walls!

I'll be interested to see how you get on with painting them as I find that MDF scenery tends to look too much like MDF board with all the tabs and stuff unless it's given a decent coat of paint and a bit of tlc but you're already dealing with that with all the little detail gubbins which break up the regularity.
SpacecowSmithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05526363535587059611noreply@blogger.com
